I build the backend systems behind card payments, the kind that should never make the news. Along the way I've lived in five countries and picked up six languages, some much better than others.

About

I'm a software engineer from France, and I've spent most of the last ten years building payment systems. Barcelona is home for now.

Away from the screen I'm happiest with people around: photo walks, hikes, crafts, a good history museum, a trip somewhere new. I've also renovated two apartments, which is its own kind of engineering.

Staff engineer across the card-present and card-not-present teams. I design and build payment flows end to end, from new payment methods to card scheme mandates, inside a PCI DSS environment. A good part of the role is technical direction and mentoring engineers.

Consultancy years: event-sourced systems for the Dutch power grid, an API gateway for the national lottery, an education platform. In 2019 I co-ran a workshop on reactive CQRS and event sourcing with Erwin de Gier at Spring I/O in Barcelona (code and slides).
